Chrysler at adoption

Chrysler in Sanctuary

CHRYSLER'S STORY

Chrysler was rounded up from the wild in the spring of 2025. This shy bay with a unique blaze resembling the Chrysler emblem is a young one ~ just about 2 years old. He lost his freedom and his family band when he was removed from his home range. He stood alone in the holding facility, passed by repeatedly by potential adopters. Chrysler is small in stature. Smaller mustangs are often at risk for sale for slaughter because they can’t be ridden by large humans, and so they are viewed as “non-usable.” With his fate hanging in the balance, Sky Mountain Wild stepped in to secure his life and give him back his freedom.

Chrysler stepped cautiously off the trailer on arrival at the Sanctuary and was immediately greeted by Thor. Thor had been roaming on his own since arriving at the Sanctuary the year before. These two mustangs bonded deeply right away and were inseparable for Chrysler’s first month in his new forever refuge. Together, the two joined up with the rest of the Sky Band of Mustangs, giving both a family band to belong with again.

Today, Chrysler’s brave spirit shows as he approaches humans. He’ll often stand at a bit of a distance to watch over visitors, never far from Thor. He’s also filled out with muscle and is growing taller. Seeing this young mustang roaming free with his new family band is the best of what sanctuary offers to once-vulnerable mustangs.

You can help Chrysler . . . by choosing him.

*Luminaria is Spanish for a special light or lantern which guides by illuminating the way. Be a light for forever freedom for a mustang of Sky Mountain Wild Horse Sanctuary ~ where mustangs belong only to the sky, the mountains, the wild, and each other. Thank you for being a Luminaria for mustangs.
